Hello !

Here is my latest artwork : "La reine aux scarabées"

The whole body is fully sculpted and textured with ZBrush, many object and props are sculpted and / or textured with the help of ZB too. All the basemesh and hardsurfaces are done in Maya. Rendered with pass in Mental ray. I wanted to avoid to create 'perfect' or 'standard' proportions.

The render is in high resolution so I'll show some closes-up and I'll try to give more details about this artwork as soon as possible.

Cheers

I wanted to create an original young girl with elaborated 'hairstyle' and make up.
It took me almost 3 months to finish this image.

I wanted something colorfull and detailled with some mysterious elements.
I've put all my attention on the high-res. picture but, unfortunately,
the low-res. shown here loose many things .

Here is one of my last work. Unfortunately, I was obliged to finish this image quickly because of lack of time so I gave up the idea to create elaborated textures and to put the armor I had previously created. It's not really in my habits or in my style to create monsters but I have to say it was a good and pretty fun experience
I'll try to show some render tests soon.

Nemo's conscience.

This image was done for a contest (Thirth place). The theme was Jules Verne's Universes. I decided to show Nemo in his Nautilius and to try to describe the sadness, the rage and the conscience of this man trough this picture with the sea in backround which is the only thing able to appease nemo's heart and all his suffering. It was a really hard work and I don't know if I acheived my goal. Anyway you'll understand of course better the story if you've read the book.

As always C&C welcome !

For the first time, I didn't spend too much time on this picture (certainly because there are not elaborated textures. The face has no texture on it)
I've put all my efforts on the scupting in ZB and on the rendering (5 pass I think).
Really few post production work only color corrections.

I'm pretty happy with the result because the mood is the same that I wanted to get at the beginning.

I hope you'll like this strange chess player

Mister Dandy

At first, the head was just a quick sketch done in ZB. I had then the idea for the whole character.

I wanted to create a dandy a bit crazy with a lot of flying fishes all around him ! (Hhhmm with this idea I'm certainly crazy too... ).

The process was really long because there was a lot of things to do and because I'd decided to render a very large picture for print.

C&C welcome

I wanted to express "relation" betwen Time and this strong but old man .

I didn't want to achieve something realistic. Nothing special for sur but I just wanted to express some feelings with this picture.

High resolution -> http://gopher-3d.teria.fr/highres/compofinale_high.jpg

I used Maya for base modeling and ZBrush for high resolution and textures. Rendered with Mental ray and quickly retouched with Photoshop.

I'll try to show you more about the process of this picture in a next post.

Happy new year to all !

Cheers!
